Haddon Hall – great location hotel for all vagabonds and travelers

Haddon Hall hotel has a great location – in the heart of Miami Beach, steps away from Bass Museum of Art train station with all of its entertainment, restaurants, bars, and shops. Location on the map: haddon-hall.miami-beach-hotels.info.
Check-in is fast and efficient – most rooms have water views. We had a room on the fourth floor that I particularly liked. Because of the Haddon Hall hotel’s architecture, you felt as though you had a large terrace – the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked a 20-foot area that was inaccessible but lovely, decorated with red brick buttresses and arches. If you look at the design of the hotel, you may better understand what I’m attempting to describe. It seemed to extend the size of the room. We overlooked the marina, public gardens, and the North End in the far distance. A beautiful view both day and night.
The bell staff is efficient with helping with luggage, hailing cabs, valet parking ($40/day), and giving directions. Noticing that we had wine with us, the bell boy immediately filled our ice bucket, got us a corkscrew and wine glasses (without our requesting it), and suggested that he bring up a small complimentary refrigerator that would keep items colder than the minibar.
The dark wood of the headboard, nightstands, desk, and armoire gave the room a warm feeling at Haddon Hall. All done in tones of green, beige, and white, it also was very relaxing. Five lamps allow you to adjust the lighting for many moods.
The closet is small, but many drawers in the armoire and nightstands keep the room clutter-free. The marble-and-granite bathroom has a great showerhead, tons of towels, aromatic green tea amenities, and a powerful hair dryer. All mirrors and artwork are framed in wood, finished in either gold or silver satin tones. A small alcove is set up with coffeemaker, small fridge(used to be a stocked minibar but has been discontinued), and a safe. If you want a discount, you need to book the room here – miami.com/miami-hotels-motels/inside-the-hall-south-beach-joie-de-vivres-first-east-coast-property-19542.
The BED!!! Oh my gosh!!! You look forward to bedtime here. It’s so inviting and comfy – all white with a slight trim of beige – a feather mattress, down duvet, and an array of pillows ensure a great night’s rest.
Being rated a five-star full-service Marriott, you have a pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center, business center, restaurants, bars, shops, and 24-hour room service. Wi-fi Internet access and free long-distance phone calls for $10 daily. The MTA is steps from the entrance making it convenient to get around, and the North end is a 5-minute walk away. Going to the airport?? You have a choice of only two stops away on the subway for $1.25, a water taxi for $10, or a $15 cab ride.
Marriott just keeps getting better with its signature bedding and upgraded rooms – to move up another notch, they need turn-down service and a magnifying make-up mirror in the bathroom. There are nice touches – two complimentary newspapers delivered daily and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies on check-in. Certainly a return-to hotel (kayak.com/Miami-Beach-Hotels-The-Hall-South-Beach.34769.ksp) for us when visiting Boston again.

3-star Berkshire Motor Hotel a great choice for adventure seekers

Stayed at this Berkshire Motor Hotel because of good review ratings at the official site berkshire-motor-hotel.san-diego-metropolitan-area.com. I read all the reviews before making my decision and was convinced that this would be a great stay and we were not Disappointed. This was the Best Hotel Stay for our money. We had a great idea of what the stay would be like so we were not disappointed. The Staff was very professional and friendly. The Berkshire Motor Hote was a very comfortable and Quite stay. This four story hotel with interior corridors and elevator was attractively decorated with paintings in the hallways and in the room, find some photo shots trivago.co.uk/san-diego-34307/hotel/berkshire-motor-3769132. There were hallway display tables and chairs lining up the corridor. This Berkshire Motor hotel is located in the industrial area on the North of San Diego just on the El Cajon Blvd. The area was pretty quiet and there are indications that new hotel buildings are being built close by. The elevator had music which was nice. The breakfast chef was very courteous. The room had the new key activated switch to save electricity. The shower had water saver shower heads, water was low in volume but adequate. Air conditioning was to each room, relatively new and not too noisy. Beautiful and clean floor and wall tile. Best of all I Spoke with Jone when making the reservations (which was a few weeks before our stay) and I made a special request for some candy and Fruit to be in the room upon our arrival. I was not disappointed. It was a little something special for my wife. Thank You Jone. We had a Wonderful Concert the Grove and was glad we made reservation to stay the night here verses traveling an hour and a half to Palmdale that night. Only wish the breakfast hours during the week would be extended To maybe 10:00 verse 9:00 am. Will take advantage of the breakfast next time because there will be a next. Will definitely come back again. They charge by adult when over two people. Similar to Embassy Suite but with only one room (not a two room suite) and doesn’t have the grand feeling of a high rise hotel. TV channels adequate. So if you want to spend a grate weekend with your darling book room in advance berkshire-motor.hotelsofsandiego.com.

Global Hotel in Panama: with its simple rooms and family-like staff

The range of services in Panama Global Hotel isn’t quite five-star, but the staff is extremely warm, especially in the restaurants, and I already have a review on their website –grace-panama.getpanamacityhotels.com

Check-in was cordial and efficient but nothing special. The clerk gave me a map of the hotel and explained how to get to my room, but that was it; given the size of the resort and all its features, I would have appreciated a more detailed orientation. I also expected them to offer me help with my bags, especially since my room was in a building located a good walk from the lobby.

Because of that introductory experience, I wasn’t expecting much. To say that the service the rest of my stay exceeded my expectations would be an understatement; I was impressed throughout, and occasionally blown away.

The Global Hotel, Panama is staffed primarily by young people who like to chat up guests, seem happy to be working there, and go out of their way to make small gestures that will improve your stay.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the ” Moments” one-sheet at the concierge desk. It provides the basics, like hours of operation, at the various restaurants, pools, etc., as well as the lowdown on special events taking place that week.
Also note: Several guests who stayed at the spa villas complained that there wasn’t any turndown service in those rooms. Don’t be caught off-guard: The villas at the spa are time-share-like suites designed more for longer stays; thus, housekeeping is not included.

Rooms are mediocre. They’re spacious and comfortable, with some nice features balconies, black marble countertops, bedside reading lights. But the decor is generic, and many of the rooms lack decent views and ample natural light.

You have two basic options at the Global Hotel, Panama: standard rooms in the main part of the resort , which run $100-$200 more – gettingontravel.com/pre-or-post-cruise-stay-grace-panama. The standard rooms are situated in 10 three-story buildings (called lodges) that form a horseshoe around the resort’s centerpiece, the Blue Lagoon and its pools; the spa villas are off to the side, by the first tee of the Gold Course. (For a helpful map, click here.)

All the rooms feature Global Hotel`s new comfortable beds, complete with 300-thread-count linens and nice, soft pillows. The sheets were a little starchy for my taste, but the mattress was comfy.

The bathrooms in Panama Global Hotel are small but certainly not cramped, and the showers have excellent water pressure. The soap is generic, but the other bath products are orange-and-ginger-scented Bed, Bath, Beyond Aromatherapy brand.

The TVs show about 30 channels, including HBO. The one in my room was a 38 LG flat-screen, but apparently they are still working to make the same upgrade in all the rooms of Global Hotel.
I had a second-floor partial golf-view room. “Partial” is the operative word, as the only part of the golf course I could see from my balcony was a concrete underpass the carts use to get from one side of the road to the other. I would have been better off opting for a garden-view room, which is cheaper – at least, that was mentioned on priceline.com/hotels-near-grace-panama-panama-city-panama-6053749-an.hotel-reviews-hotel-guides. And if you want a room with plenty of natural light, you’ll most likely have to spring for an ocean view room.

You know what? I will definitely visit this hotel again and again ! ! !
